Chucky JVH Z is a son of the interestingly bred, promising, very modern Cilanto XC Z. From his sire, Chellsini Z, Cilanto inherited caution on the fences. Cilanto also received a good dose of top showjumping blood from his dam’s side, including from the Olympic stallion Quintus (Jean-Claude Vangeenberghe) and Grand Veneur. Cilanto did not miss his sporting debut. As a four-year-old he became champion of the stallion competition and was a finalist at the Belgian Championship in Gesves. At the age of 6, he took 3rd place in the final ranking of the stallion competition and was a finalist at the Belgian Championship in Opglabbeek. In 2021 he won several international showjumping classes for young horses. A year later he made his international 4* debut. Under the saddle of Emilie Conter, Cilanto achieved an impressive series of clear rounds in 2023, including in Valkenswaard, Monterrey La Silla, Vejer de la Frontera and Saint-Tropez.
Through his dam, Starlight JVH, Chucky JVH makes part of the Hanoverian Schwaebin lineage. This breeding family produced several international showjumpers (including Fatalis Fatum), approved breeding stallions (such as Arrian, Varus, Louella Worner, V Woermann and Fatalis Fatum) and international dressage horses, including Esprit de Valdemar, who participated at several Olympiads, World Equestrian Games and European Championships, in partnership with Jon D. Pedersen.
