The crossing of a champion stallion with a mare from a top dam line has resulted in Daedalus van den Kievit. You can actually get him by making the last offer. The sire of Daedalus van den Kievit is none other than Washington van het Klavertje, who was crowned champion stallion in 2021 at the BRp stallion selection. Washington is a beautiful, strong developed stallion who is easy to ride. He is careful on the fences, shows a very good hindquarters technique and has a good foreleg technique and a good use of the shoulder. Washington’s dam jumped at LRV C-M 1m level, the great-granddam in Germany at 1m25 level. Both the dam and the granddam produced several international sport ponies.
His dam is the 3-year-old Artemis van den Kievit, a daughter of Rob Roy van het Klavertje out of Que Sera van het Klavertje. Que Sera jumped in LRV competitions (D-L 1m), achieved the conformation label and produced the elite foals Damocles, Vergilius, Waar is Wally and Artemis van den Kievit. Vergilius van den Kievit later became an approved BRp stallion. Que Sera’s dam has the conformation and performance label and jumped in national and LRV competitions. Que Sera’s granddam is the elite mare Farnes van de Groenheuvel, in turn the dam of Kadans van de Groenheuvel (approved stallion plus international showjumper, Thibeau Spits). They are all part of the BRp lineage 009.
During the most recent BRp championship, Daedalus achieved a high score (82 %). He has a good trot with a lot of space and tact.
