PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS

Thanks to Tannine-K van Kattenheye, you can buy a mare that is the result of crossing two top BWP dam lines, namely the Usha van ’t Roosakker and the Qerly Chin line. Tannine-K’s sire, George, is a son of the top progenitor Kannan out of the legendary Chin Chin daughter Usha van ’t Roosakker. George is a full brother to Babbe van ’t Roosakker (1m60 level, Michel Hécart and Cara Raether Carey) and a half-brother to Centoia van ’t Roosakker (team gold at the European Championship in Herning, Ben Maher), Emperio van ’t Roosakker (5*) and Equador van ’t Roosakker (5*). In partnership with Lorenzo de Luca, George became a finalist in 2019 at the World Championship for 7-year-olds in Lanaken. In 2020 Michael Hughes took over the reins. He achieved several top ten places with George in international 4* competitions.

Through her dam Merlot di Fer, Tannine-K carries the performance blood of Qerly Chin (also a valuable Chin Chin daughter). Merlot’s dam, Ermita di Fer, produced Meursault di Fer (performing at 1m40 level in the United States), Izadi di Fer (in February this year jumped clear in almost all competitions in which she participated in Oliva) and Ortega di Fer (3*, 1m40 level). Ermita’s dam is none other than Ferly de Muze (alias Sea Coast Ferly), who under the saddle of Gudrun Patteet performed outstanding in the 5* circuit for many years. Ferly in turn is the dam of Brunello di Fer (1m45 to 1m50 level, Hanne Mertens). Ferly is a daughter of Calato out of the successful sport/breeding mare Narcotique de Muze II (5*, Eric Lamaze).
