PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
Ultimo LV is a mix of proven Holstein, Westphalian and French showjumping blood, with a dash of thoroughbred. In the pedigree of his sire, Charisto (°2016) we find the Holstein progenitors Casall, Contender and Landgraf I. Through his dam, Athena IV, Charisto belongs to the Holstein lineage 8769, the famous ‘Bühne-Stamm’ who enjoys a good reputation thanks to the World Cup showjumper Come One (Ludger Beerbaum, Ralf Schneider and Princess Haya), the BWP ambassador Thunder VD Zuuthoeve, Nobless M (with whom Pius Schwizer won team bronze during the Olympic Games in Hong Kong) and several other performers. Charisto himself jumps with a lot of suppleness, caution and quick reflexes. He has been sold to the USA where Henley Adkins and Paige Walkenbach are writing a sequel to his sports career.
Ultimo LV is also interestingly bred on the dam’s side. Quiomy LV van ’t Biezenhof, Ultimo LV’s dam, is by Comme Il Faut, the winner of the 5* GP of Vienna, Madrid and Brussels Stephex Masters and 16th in the most recent WBFSH sire ranking. Via her dam Natacha III, Quiomy is also a half- sister to Lancaster LV van ’t Diepenbroeck (3*, 1m60 level). Carla du Bourg, the dam of Natacha III, is the dam of the five-star showjumper Madona PK and the granddam of the international showjumpers Again du Toultia (5*, Marcus Ehning), Cannonball du Toultia (5*, Talal Al Zahem) and Daytona du Toultia (5*, Marcus Ehning).
