Via the stallion Matisse de Mariposa, the sire of Virginia VD Molendreef, one can get into his stable the performance blood of Diamant de Semilly crossed with a dam line with numerous performers such as Flora, Ilena, Hermes de Mariposa, to name just a few. In partnership with Bernardo Alves, Matisse claimed several victories in the international showjumping circuit last year. Several sons from his first crop were immediately approved as breeding stallions.
Virginia also carries performance blood on her dam’s side. Her granddam, Grande Dame V/D Molendreef, produced OO Seven VD Molendreef (finalist at the WC in Lanaken as a 5-year-old) and Maximus V/D Molendreef (1m35 level). Virginia is a descendant of the BWP dam line 49. This breeding family includes a whole series of performers, amongst them Via Volo van de Molendreef (1m60 level, Elizabeth Beezie Madden), Gigolo V/D Molendreef (5*, 1m60 level), the GP horse Ad Fundum, Every Way, Qadance and Keep Away VD Molendreef.
