PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
His sire is the seven-year-old BWP approved stallion Rocco VD Bisschop, a Chacoon Blue son who, through his dam Omara VD Wellington, belongs to the famous BWP lineage 13, a performance line that guarantees top-class showjumpers. Under the saddle of Ben Thiry, Rocco realised an impressive series of clear rounds. In the final of the stallion competition for 5-year-olds (in 2022) and 6-year-olds (in 2023), he remained double clear each time. Virocco D&J is a product from the first vintage of Rocco.
Virocco D&J also carries a dose of performance blood on his dam’s side. His dam, Hillithya, is a half-sister to no fewer than five international showjumpers, namely Benito (with whom Marie Valdar Longem jumped at five-star level), Zidane (5*, Bart Bles), Evithya (jumped at 1m45 level), Cilienthya (3*, Laurie Touw) and Gomez, who performs in the USA at 1m45 level in partnership with Hannah Hink. Virocco’s granddam, Tilithya, is a half-sister to the approved stallions Ramazotti and Kapsones, as well as the international showjumpers Million, Vladimir and Kapsones. Through their dam line they belong to the Dutch Nomana lineage.
