Forsyth FRH, the sire of this auction foal, is a For Pleasure son who was crowned ‘Hannoveraner Hengst des Jahres’ in 2020. Forsyth has successfully jumped on the international four and five-star circuit. Half of his very limited offspring jumps at 1m45 level or higher.
Ithaca, Weckhoff van Horst’s dam, won the national championship BWP Elite foals. Six years later she became ‘champion of the day’ at the national BWP mare championship. Ithaca jumped in LRV Z-class. In partnership with Martine Michiels, Ithaca also participated at LRV M-class dressage competitions. Ithaca’s foal from the BWP-V vintage (2021), Vanitas van Horst, became the most expensive foal during the BWP Online Foal Auction. Ithaca is part of the BWP lineage 119. Weckhoff van Horst is a nice type, long-lined, correctly built, with a good top line and spacious movements in trot and canter. The foal can switch well.
