His sire Sunday JM was crowned in 2021 as 1st reserve champion during the BWP stallion selection. Sunday JM is an interestingly bred, promising son of Ermitage Kalone. Sunday JM is a half-brother to the international performers Cashpaid and Cordial through his dam Unschuld.
Wesley also carries performance blood on his dam’s side. His dam, Showtime VD Mereyt, is by Quabri de l’Isle, the Kannan son who can look back on an impressive sport career at the highest level, including winning the 5*GP of Calgary, Versailles and Geneva, the 3rd place in the GP of Aachen, multiple participations in the World Equestrian Games and the Olympic Games. Showtime’s granddam, Never Action SKB, produced Hilton de Mereyt (in 2014 7th in the Belgian Championship for 7-year-olds in Gesves and then successful up to and including 1m55 level, Bunoit Moeskops) and Jerome V/D Mereyt, who jumped at 1m50 level.
