TOP BWP SHOWJUMPING AND DRESSAGE BLOOD AT THE “BWP YOUNG HORSES AUCTION”

Mar 12, 2021 · BWP · BWP · Paardenfotograaf

Due to the Rhino virus the Third Phase of the BWP Stallion Approval will not take place as planned. Meanwhile, new dates have been fixed. The stallion approval will take place April, 12-14, in Azelhof in Lier.

The BWP Young Horses auction did not have to be postponed. It takes place next Saturday, March, 13. It will be a studio auction starting at 7.30 p.m. Some specialists in the jumping and dressage world will comment on the horses.

The online biddings open on Friday March, 12, at 10 a.m.  On Saturday we close for a while at 5 p.m. and then start again at 7.30 p.m. with the effective auction with professional comment.

During this auction 10 showjumpers and 3 dressage horses will be sold. These youngsters were carefully selected by a professional jury. Photos, videos, pedigree information and veterinary reports can be viewed on www.bwp.auction. We successively present the showjumping and dressage horses.

Two 4-year-olds and eight 3-year-olds will be offered for sale in the category showjumpers. Thanks to the “BWP Young Horses Auction” one actually gets the chance to buy a descendant from one of the strongest BWP dam lines, the Qerly Chin performance line. We are talking about Rocco van ’t Koningsbos. Through his sire Chacoon Blue, Rocco carries the blood of Chacco-Blue, number 1 in the WBFSH-sire ranking. Rocco’s dam, Imogen de Regor, jumped at international 1m45 level last year. As a breeding dam Imogen has already produced her business card several times. She is known as the dam of the showjumping cracks Latisha de Regor (5*, Edwina Tops-Alexander) and Mithras de Regor, the BWP approved stallion who performs at 1m45 level under the saddle of Guy Beyers. Imogen is also the dam of the approved stallions Olympic and Picasso van ’t Koningsbos. Rocco’s granddam, Centa de Muze, produced two horses from the 1m60 circuit (Freestyle de Muze and Horizon de Regor) and three from the 1m50 circuit (Inri, Kerly and Melia de Regor).

The other four-year-old showjumper is called Rebell L3B, a son by the international Grand Prix/BWP Elite stallion Iron Man van de Padenborre (5*, Grégory Wathelet). Pieter Goyvaerts jumped at 1m30 level with Rebell’s dam, Civoli. Civoli’s granddam, Tivoli, is the dam of the EC/world cup horse Flyinge Electro (Peter Eriksson) and the granddam of the outstanding showjumper Presley Boy (5*, 1m60 level, Jaime Azcarraga).

The three-year-old Silio van de Rozenakker is an outcross product, in this case French x Holstein blood. His sire Vannan collected several top ten places in the international 5* circuit last year. Through his dam, Gayenne de Winghe, Silio makes part of the BWP performance line 56, which is the line of a series of successful international showjumpers, including Sydney de Winghe, Happy Lady de Winghe and Peanut-R. As if this is not enough, we can also tell you that Silio’s dam already produced the BWP approved stallion Milano van de Rozenakker (by Breemeersen Adorado).

Anyone who buys a dam, has the advantage that he can combine sport and breeding. Thanks to Santa Fee VD Molendreef, for example, you get such a unique opportunity. Her sire is none other than Matisse de Mariposa, BWP vice champion at the stallion expertise in 2015 and successful at international 1m40 to 1m45 level last year. Santa Fee belongs to the Dutch Nomia line through her dam. This is the breeding family of approved stallions (such as Rockefeller and Horatio) and international showjumpers, amongst them Diamant and Fanarico.

Silva van de Faunushoeve also offers potential for sport and breeding. Her 8-year-old sire Important Style VK remained faultless in almost every showjumping class in which he participated this year. Silva’s dam, Undine, produced several successful showjumpers, including Havina, Inuus and Leandro van de Faunushoeve. Millar van de Faunushoeve (4*, 1m50 level, Olivier Perreau) was born out of a half-sister of this trio. Silva’s granddam, Musharat, produced the international showjumpers Azzaro, Filline and Jezebel van de Veldhoek. Both the dam and granddam of the promising Silva were crowned “BWP Elite dam”.

Whoever buys Spirit van het Leliehof becomes the owner of a son by the 5* Grand Prix stallion H&M Chilli Willi (by Casall), combined with a dam from a well-bred performance line (number 90). Spirit’s dam, Vienna, is the dam of the showjumpers Fosati, Nikita, Maya and Osati van het Leliehof and the granddam of Jota van het Leliehof. This line also includes BWP elite dams, approved stallions and an impressive series of international showjumping cracks, such as Biscaya, Capacity, Hacienda, Sonora and Vienna d’Eversem, Falco, Happy and Igor Union, Evita SG Z, Golden Wonder, Famoso d’Ive, Fidalgo van het Leliehof, U-Watch and Watch Me de Rêve Bovenhoekshof.

From BWP line 90 we go to line 78, thanks to Simon, a half-brother to Ponolette, the winner of the national BWP championship in free jumping (2015) and several clear rounds this year in international showjumping classes for young horses. Several approved stallions (including Charivari Biolley, Chacco Me Biolley and Ubergraaf D) and international GP showjumpers (such as Baggio, Jenco DW and Blue Thunder) underline the quality of this performance line.

Anyone who buys Silvano van het Veldhof gets the half-brother to Gentlemen van het Veldhof into this stable. In partnership with Koen De Waele, Michael Whitaker and David Simpson, Gentlemen performed at international five-star level. And what about Saphir du Warichet? His sire, Toulon, ranks 3rd in the WBFSH sire ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses. Are you looking for a modern sport horse with a lot of charisma, a very good foreleg technique and great use of the shoulder, then you should definitely bid on Sorento van de Watering. His sire, Marko van Spieveld, belongs to a well-bred BWP performance line, while in the dam line we find top progenitors such as Darco and Quidam de Revel.

Lovers of top dressage blood will also find what they are looking for in the “BWP Young Horses Auction”, for instance thanks to two daughters of the renowned Oldenburg GP dressage stallion For Romance, namely Sierra-M and Savina Vita Nova. Sierra-M is a granddaughter of Vradin, the Gribaldi daughter with whom Simon Missiaen became Belgian champion. Sierra-M belongs to one of the best Dutch dressage horse lines, namely the Bottie line. Savina Vita Nova unites three dressage greats in a row in her pedigree: For Romance, Fidertanz and Rubinstein I. Her granddam, Ramona, performed well at ZZ level. Those who wish to expand their breeding/sport stable with a promising dressage dam can also make a bid for Sulaika van de Kempenhoeve. She is a daughter of the international dressage stallion Indian Rock (Emmelie Scholtens) out of Olanda VD Kempenhoeve (by Escolar, 5* dressage stallion, in partnership with Hubertus Schmidt). Olanda’s dam, Amoureuse VD Kempenhoeve, is the great-granddam of Sunnyboy VD Kempenhoeve, who was selected to participate at the 3rd phase of the BWP stallion selection this year. Good blood never lies!
