PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
Woodstock A van de Nachtegaele unites in his pedigree two strong, well-bred BWP lines. His sire, Spitfire V (BWP dam line 72), was crowned reserve champion at the BWP stallion selection last year. The dam line of this Chacoon Blue son has a lot of performance blood. Several showjumpers from the 1m60 circuit belong to this line, including Melody VD Smidshoeve, Excenel V, Charisma V, Naxcel V, Narcos VD Smidshoeve and Karoline of Ballmore. Spitfire’s dam, Kulana V (°2010), performs successfully at international two- and three-star level, in partnership with Petronella Andersson. According to Leo Vermeiren, the breeder of Spitfire V, the horses belonging to this line have scope, mentality, blood, a good character and a big heart.
Woodstock’s dam, Nadja A van de Nachtegaele, can also present several letters of nobility. Under the saddle of Jan Van Dyck, she remained clear in almost every heat of the cycle for 6-year-olds in 2019. A year later, Nadja A became the winner of the cycle and ended 6th in the final of the Belgian Championship for 7-year-olds. Actually, the dam jumps at 1m45 level. She already produced an approved stallion (namely Romelu A van de Nachtegaele), as well as Qupido A van de Nachtegaele, who was sold at the age of 3 during the Fences edition 2019 for 190,000 euros. Woodstock makes part of the BWP dam line 62, this is the line of, amongst others, the BWP elite dam Wikita van den Berg, and numerous successful showjumpers such as Tiqilla van den Berg, Othello and Kilano van de Vlasbloemhoeve.
Woodstock A van de Nachtegaele is a young foal with a lot of charisma, a beautiful expressive head. He has light-footed movements, a lot of suppleness in the trot, a good walk and canter.
